Actor Sushmita Banik, who stepped into the world of television with Janani in 2021, recently fulfilled a lifelong dream — visiting the Taj Mahal for the very first time. For Sushmita, it wasn’t just about seeing a monument; it was about experiencing history, love, and beauty in their purest form.
Recounting her visit, Sushmita Banik shared how surreal it felt to finally stand in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. “When I stood before it, I was completely awestruck. The beauty, the aura, the energy of the place — it gave me goosebumps. No matter how many stories or pictures you’ve seen, nothing prepares you for the real experience,” she said.

She was especially mesmerized by the intricate marble detailing, the symmetry, and, of course, the eternal love story that the Taj Mahal symbolizes. “I kept thinking about how something so flawless was built centuries ago, yet it still looks timeless. It’s not just architecture; it’s emotion carved in stone,” Sushmita Banik reflected.
Beyond being a personal milestone, the trip also turned into an artistic inspiration for the young star. Having worked across films and OTT platforms, she revealed that the visit gave her a fresh creative perspective. “Being in front of something so grand and meaningful inspires you to create art that touches people’s hearts. Just like the Taj leaves an everlasting impact, I want to choose roles and stories that stay with audiences long after,” she shared.
Shiny Doshi: I absolutely love the ocean and being around water
Sushmita Banik spent the day soaking in the serene views, capturing memories through photographs, and simply pausing to admire the monument. For her, the Taj Mahal was more than a tourist attraction — it was a soulful reminder of India’s heritage. “It made me proud that such a symbol of love and beauty exists in our country. This is a memory I will hold close forever,” she said with a smile.
