An iconic actor on the TV screen turned DJ, Tapeshwari Sharma is featured on the cover of Femina India. She was crowned as the Mrs. Femina of the year 2021. Tapeshwari who got into acting after her impromptu audition for the TV screen went hit and landed a cameo in the very famous Kasautii Zindagi Kay. After multiple auditions, she got a significant role in Sasural Genda Phool. She bid farewell to the TV screens in 2014, after the birth of her child.
Now she is a full time, hands-on mommy and an ace DJ. Sharma has travelled the world cranking up music at upmarket clubs while raising her kid, a feat that is difficult to achieve and balance.
Her journey with Mrs. Femina has also been an interesting one. She fought the very stereotypical yet prominent belief in the industry that women no longer can make it after giving birth or getting married. Tapeshwari kept working on her skills and style along with giving time to her family and enjoying that part of her life.
Her efforts paid off, she bagged the very prestigious title of ‘Mrs. Femina of the year’ for her elegant style and ability to stand out in the crowd. She proved that women can juggle with their work while raising children just like their male counterparts.
When asked about this achievement, Tapeshwari Sharma said, “I’m really happy that I feel acknowledged after a very long time. It feels great to be seen for all the work you put in yourself. I feel glad that I kept going on my hard days too instead of giving up. I believe consistency always pays off well and I’m grateful for all the love. I cannot contain this, I’m very overwhelmed!”
